3.5kg CO2 Fire Extinguisher Aluminium
$160.00
3.5kg CO2 fire extinguisher. Approved to AS/NZS 1841.6. Suitable for Class B and E fires — flammable liquids and electrically energised equipment. Leaves no residue. Lightweight aluminium cylinder. Includes wall bracket and maintenance tag.
Description
A mid-range CO2 fire extinguisher suited to offices, server rooms, laboratories, and commercial kitchens. CO2 works by displacing oxygen to extinguish the fire and evaporates completely after discharge — leaving no powder, foam, or residue. Safe for use around sensitive electronics, food preparation equipment, and areas where post-fire cleanup must be minimal. Lightweight aluminium cylinder. Approved and manufactured to AS/NZS 1841.6.
Compare sizes: the 3.5kg CO2 suits offices and server rooms. For larger electrical and data-centre areas step up to the 5kg CO2. See the full CO2 extinguisher range, or for general Class A/B/E coverage compare our dry chemical ABE extinguishers.

Frequently Asked Questions
What fires is a CO2 extinguisher suitable for?
CO2 is rated for Class B fires (flammable liquids — petrol, oil, solvents) and Class E fires (electrical equipment). It’s the preferred choice for server rooms, electrical switchboards, and anywhere that a powder discharge would damage equipment.
Is CO2 safe around people?
CO2 displaces oxygen, so it should only be deployed in well-ventilated areas or outdoors where possible. In enclosed spaces, vacate the area after discharge and ventilate before re-entering. CO2 leaves no toxic chemical residue — it simply evaporates.
Can CO2 be used on a kitchen grease fire?
No. CO2 is not rated for Class F fires (cooking oils and fats). Using CO2 on a deep fryer fire can cause the hot oil to splatter. A wet chemical extinguisher is required for commercial kitchen and cooking oil fire risks.
How often does a CO2 extinguisher need to be serviced?
Every 6 months for inspection and annually for a full service, as required by AS 1851. CO2 cylinders also require periodic hydrostatic pressure testing — your technician will advise on the schedule. A maintenance test tag is included.
Does it come with a wall bracket?
Yes — a wall bracket and maintenance test tag are included as standard.
